The Italian Data Protection Authority consists of a Board of four members, appointed by the Parliament. The Italian Data Protection Authority consists of a Board of four members, appointed by the Parliament. It is the public independent DPA in charge of protecting the rights and fundamental freedoms of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and privacy issues, facilitating the free circulation of personal data within the EU and monitor compliance with the EU Regulation 2016/679.
The G7 Privacy Italy 2024 will be held under the presidency of the Italian DPA Board.
The italian Presidency
“Privacy in the age of data” will be the title of the first G7 Privacy Summit under the Italian Presidency. With this event, the Italian DPA also wants to restate the central role of independent DPAs in the decision-making processes that direct the Governments’ actions.
The agenda will be discussed from 9 to 11 October 2024 in Rome and will feature different sessions. Each session will cover one of the following topics.
The logo
The G7 Privacy logo was designed starting from the three elements that the Italian DPA has decided to highlight in his visual form: enhancing the Italian DPA’s role as the event organiser; recognising the equal role of the 7 DPAs which will take part in it; providing an immediate focus on the essential information of the event.
